 Heres the screencap from the opening scene where Decker is coming to talk to the O6...
She acknowledges someone sitting alone near the front of the cargo hold... a bald head can be seen as she does this leading many people to assume its Locke on the plane there...

 There is someone there though! (up near the front) Here are 2 shots which clearly show legs and feet sitting alone up there... Let the debate continue... Locke, Desmond or Ben?
I vote not Ben... Hope its not Locke (I want him on the island... although I do wonder if he would lose the use of his legs if he left it) but I guess it could be. You can just make out the knees and feet over Aarons head.
 I made a zoom bubble for a better shot where you can see him in relation to everyone else (up in the fron of the hold)

Does that look like locke wearing a headset?
so maybe Locke does go home with the O6...
Perhaps we will find out in finale parts 2/3 if he made some other deal with Oceanic to be kept secret... or perhaps pretended to be someone else and is "just tagging along for the ride"
time will tell. :)
